Home Means…Nevada Day Weekend!

Hi there! Ky here…one clarification before we continue.

Our ‘Home Means’ blog is not affiliated with the new expansion of the Reno eNVy brand, “Home Means Nevada Co.” Though we think they have some pretty cool stuff, we are different!

Anyways–Happy Nevada Day weekend! We live in such a special state.

Do you ever stop and think western culture was cultivated here?

Our towering mountains, blue skies, wildlife, and cowboy way of life attracted the millions over the years.

October 31, 1864, changed the country for ever. The “Battle Born State” became one of the most sought out places with those who would call it home the lucky few.

There are so many ways to celebrate Nevada! The most notable is probably the Nevada Day Parade.

25,000 – 30,000 people will line the streets of Carson City Saturday.

Head over to Carson St. through downtown Carson City on Saturday at 10a. This beloved even is super fun. This is a tight-knit community. The parade proves that.

Reno Forklift puts on a FREE haunted house to collect food and money for local charities. Head over to Coney Island Drive in Sparks at the Reno Forklift warehouse through Tuesday, October 31!

The Halloween Hollow is the Reno Riverwalk Districts opportunity for some FREE family fun and trick-or-treating! This is downtown Reno near the Riverside Movie Theater, 5  p.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday, October 29.
